Fire Shutter Doors
Fire shutter doors are fireproof and heat-insulating devices widely used in various areas of buildings. As essential fire protection equipment, they play a crucial role in the fire protection layout of construction projects. Fire corridor shutters are extensively applied in fire separation zones of industrial and large-scale buildings; they can effectively prevent the spread of fire and protect life and property safety, making them an indispensable fire protection device in general buildings.
Functions of Fire Shutter Doors
Similar to fire walls, fire shutter doors serve the key function of fire separation. Composed of 13 fire-resistant components including curtain slats, base plates, guides, supports, scrolls, tension devices, reinforcement boxes, rolling door operators, brakes, lintels, external quick-release control devices, linkages and configuration controls, they are installed at various locations where fire wall separation is not feasible—such as large machine halls, escalator areas, spacious shopping halls in high-rise shopping malls, exhibition halls in exhibition buildings, and other areas in buildings where fixed fire partitions cannot be installed. Fire corridor shutters greatly expand the application of fire separation in building fire protection systems.
Fire Rolling Shutter Doors
Fire rolling shutter doors are an indispensable fire protection device in civil buildings. In addition to the basic functions of ordinary doors, they feature fire resistance, smoke insulation, fire spread suppression and crowd protection. They are widely used in high-population density places such as civil buildings and large supermarkets.
Operational & Usage Notes for Fire Shutter Doors
During the standard operation of fire shutter doors, operators must strictly follow the designated operating procedures and keep the dedicated operation IP separate for use. Special attention should be paid to the condition of hinges and the overall operation status of the doors. When the shutters are in operation, no personnel are allowed to stand or move in the corridor behind the doors. If any abnormal operation is detected during use, the emergency stop system must be activated immediately, the power supply cut off, and the anti-loosening devices checked and ensured to be in good working condition.
